Resurrection School
Current Status: Numerous parents and teachers have expressed interest in a University Model School at Resurrection Church over the past 6 months, but we are still short of our student enrollment number needed to start the school and break even. As a result we will not be starting Resurrection School in the Fall of 2018. We are, however, offering tours and accepting applications for grades K-4th with the goal of starting a University Model School in Fall 2019.

Vision: "University Model Schooling is designed to bring together the best attributes of traditional schooling with the best attributes of home schooling and integrate them into one model. The immediate goal is quality, cost-effective, college-preparatory education accomplished in a way that gives parents more time for imparting the faith and values they hold precious."
-Dr. John William Turner, Jr., Character Driven College Preparation
Background: For over 14 years since 2003, Resurrection Church has had a vision of starting a school that would train children to become mature followers of Jesus Christ. In 2017 Elijah Lovejoy (the church's new pastor) and his wife Brandi began talking to the church's board and reaching out to members of the community about starting a University Model 2-day per week school in classroom space at Resurrection Church. The Lovejoy's kids have been involved in start-up University Model schools for 2.5 years in Greensboro and Apex, NC.
About University Model Schooling: University Model schooling is designed to create a strong strategic partnership between a structured 2-day per week school environment with paid professional teachers and parents who are responsible for their child's education at home the other 2-3 days per week.
