Welcome to Mission Resurrection Church - Moore County, NC!
Our StoryResurrection Church in Hope Mills, NC is excited to announce the formation of a new Anglican Church in Moore County! In partnership with Holy Trinity Church in Chapel Hill, Resurrection Church is sponsoring this new church plant called Mission Resurrection Church, until a permanent name is selected.
These churches are working together using the old circuit rider team model of ministry to provide stability, support, prayer, resources and seasoned leadership until a Moore County core group is strong and mature enough to hire their own Rector (the Anglican word for Senior Pastor). Watch the 5 minute video below to learn how Rev. Lovejoy used this same circuit rider model to begin a new Anglican Church in Beckley, WV. A Moore County core group has already begun to form. Developing and growing this core group will be our focus throughout 2021, including through a Monday night Lectio Divina Group. For more details on Anglicanism, Lectio Divina, Mission Resurrection leadership, why we are planting a church during a pandemic and how you can be joyfully involved, please continue reading at right and below. -Pray: Pray with us for this new work, that God would be pleased and glorified, that our love would be genuine and sacrificial and that the gospel of Jesus Christ would bring new life to many. -Give: The circuit rider model of church planting is nimble and low cost, since the initial leadership team are already paid by their home churches. Costs primarily include mileage reimbursement, worship supplies, eventual building rental and saving up for hiring a permanent leader. If you would like to give toward this new work, Resurrection Church is receiving and accounting for all funds given until Mission Resurrection sets up their own bank account. Click here to give and select the Missions Moore County category to enter your amount. -Worship & Serving: Over 2021 our core group has grown and is ready to begin monthly monthly preview services at Southern Pines Chapel.
