Anglicans at Breakfast Reading Scripture got its name from Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee." We are a group of friends who have breakfast every Tuesday and enjoy discussing the Bible, culture and things Anglican.

Rather than driving luxury cars and drinking fine coffee, we're reading the Biblical Scriptures in the ancient Lectio Divina (Latin for Divine Reading) format. Lectio Divina is a slow meditative approach to Scripture often compared to patiently chewing fine food or drinking an expensive wine.

The traditional 4 steps of Lectio Divina include: reading (lectio), meditation (meditatio), prayer (oratio) and contemplation (contemplatio). LMOC for short. We hope you enjoy, and leave us a comment with your thoughts!
