"When you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.” (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.”" -John 21:18-19

Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.  -Luke 24:5-7

Before God was ready to use Moses as Israel's deliverer from Egyptian slavery, Moses spent 40 years on the run in hiding from pharaoh. How is God using similar fallow seasons in your own life to prepare you for his purposes?

    About the Podcast

Anglicans at Breakfast Reading Scripture is back and  has changed it's name to Anglicans on Zoom Reading Scripture (AoZ).  Due to the pandemic this podcast took a hiatus for about a year.  But thanks to the folks at Mission Resurrection Church in Moore County, the podcast has restarted with a few new hosts and the same familiar format.

AoZ got its name from Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee." We are a group of Christians who meet on Zoom every Wednesday night and enjoy discussing the Bible, God's purposes for our life and things Anglican.

Each Wednesday we read the Biblical Scriptures in the ancient Lectio Divina (Latin for Divine Reading) format.  Lectio Divina is a slow meditative approach to Scripture often compared to patiently chewing fine food or drinking an expensive wine.
You can read more about Lectio Divina here.

The traditional 4 steps of Lectio Divina include: reading (lectio), meditation (meditatio), prayer (oratio) and contemplation (contemplatio).  LMOC for short.  We hope you enjoy, and leave us a comment with your thoughts or join us one Wednesday night at AoZ!
